[2/7] heartbreaking moments » "time passes." (bella, new moon)
October. November. December. January.
Time passes. Even when it seems impossible. Even when each tick of the second hand aches like the pulse of blood behind a bruise. It passes unevenly, in strange lurches and dragging lulls, but pass it does. Even for me.
Yeah their styles seemed to change every movie. Well, at least Bella’s did. I understand evolution but it just seemed to be. Well. Everywhere.
But I certainly don’t see them in the tacky shit Smeyer wrote either lmao
I’ve always imagined Edward is a clean blue jeans or slacks + relaxed button down kind of guy. When he wears t-shirts, it’s almost always solid, and an elegant cut. Most likely he wears turtlenecks too because he’s fucking ridiculous. Also peacoats. Like you have to understand Edward came from the 1910s, and he was pretty upper class? Not crème de la crème, but well off, and he’s kept similar interests and aesthetics.
Bella is significantly plainer; she doesn’t take much advantage of how adorable she is because she wants to stay under the radar and she has bad self body image. Emily’s wardrobe in the Uninvited probably isn’t too far off, but it veers a little more dainty and feminine than Bella’s style, probs. But look at this. And this. Def stuff Bella might wear, esp the second when she’s in warmer climates.
But yeah the wardrobe choices in the movies were another failure but I loved New Moon Bella’s! It’s not really true to book Bella but it was so pretty.
List of favorite films: Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events (2004)
At times the world can seem an unfriendly and sinister place, but believe us when we say that there is much more good in it than bad. All you have to do is look hard enough. And what might seem to be a series of unfortunate events may, in fact, be the first steps of a journey.
